About Marsh Grass Outfitters

Marsh Grass Outfitters LLC was born from a simple idea — to create custom fishing apparel for our “down-the-bayou” community of Cocodrie, Louisiana. After Hurricane Ida devastated our community in 2021, the Cocodrie area faced unimaginable loss. But just like the Marsh Grass that bends, never breaks, and always regrows, our community stood strong.

When the Coco Marina rebuilt and began hosting events again, we saw a spark of hope — and we wanted to help fuel that spirit. What began with a few Cocodrie-themed designs quickly grew into a vision to celebrate bayou culture, faith, and the outdoors in every stitch.

Humble Beginnings

Marsh Grass Outfitters officially began… in the back seat of a car, driving home from a high school tennis state tournament.

After a year of planning and designing, we rebuilt an old trailer from the ground up into a one-of-a-kind, walk-through mobile apparel shop — the first of its kind in our area.

On May 3rd, 2025, at the Kick-Off to CoCo Bash at Coco Marina, Marsh Grass Outfitters made its debut. Our trailer was a hit, our mission took root, and Marsh Grass took off.

Growing with the Bayou

Today, we travel to fishing rodeos, festivals, and events across South Louisiana, bringing our mobile store and bayou-born spirit to communities near and far. We also launched our online store so customers can shop anytime, anywhere — even when the trailer isn’t nearby.

Marsh Grass Outfitters is proudly family-built by the Theriot family with one goal in mind: to grow a brand that gives back to our bayou and supports the future.

Our designs blend South Louisiana lifestyle, fishing, hunting, and camo culture with our Christian roots. Every product is created with intention, incorporating Scripture and purpose — because we believe in spreading the Gospel one piece of apparel at a time.
